The Bureau of Land Management is burning 36 acres today. The project area is located approximately 11 miles south of Jacksonville.

Today's Prescribed Burn

The Medford District of the Bureau of Land Management will burn approximately 55 acres of hazardous fuels near Jacksonville Hill today. Ignitions will start around 10:00 a.m. and smoke may be visible from a number of places around the valley, including parts of Medford and Highway 238 between Jacksonville and Ruch. Smoke should diminish significantly by late afternoon. The burn will be staffed by a 20 person crew and two engines.
