Today's Prescribed Burns

The following prescribed burning projects are taking place today in Jackson County:

• A 40-acre area on private land 8 miles northwest of Shady Cove


• A 13-acre project on private land 4 miles north of Rogue River


• A 60-acre project on private land 3 miles southeast of Butte Falls


• A 110-acre project on private land 17 miles north of Eagle Point


• A 118-acre project on private land 7 miles northeast of Butte Falls


• A 60-acre project on private land 7 miles north of Butte Falls


• A 46-acre project on private land 15 miles northeast of Butte Falls


• A 127-acre project on private land 7 milies north of Gold Hill


• And several other burning projects in the Butte Falls and Shady Cove areas

In Jospephine County, the following areas are scheduled to be burned today:

• A 50-acre site on state land located 2 miles southwest of Glendale


• A 1-acre site on private land 3 miles east of Cave Junction


• A 76-acre site on private land 11 miles northeast of Cave Junction

Quite a few prescribed burning projects are also scheduled today on federal lands in both counties.
