ODF closed Friday

The Oregon Department of Forestry's offices in Jackson and Josephine counties will be closed Friday, April 16, as will many other state agencies. State employees are taking a furlough day as a cost-saving measure. ODF's offices will re-open Monday, April 19.

Lightning, but no fires

Yesterday's storms brought a few thunderbolts to southwest Oregon. However, the lightning was accompanied by a LOT of rain. No smokes and no fires were reported on lands protected by the Oregon Department of Forestry's Southwest Oregon District (Jackson and Josephine counties).
