An ODF fire investigator has determined that last Wednesday's string of fires along the Caves Highway were caused by a vehicle that blew hot chunks of carbon out of its tailpipe. Another fire that same day, on South Kerby Ave., was caused by a juvenile playing with fireworks.
The Caves Hwy fires burned 5.5 acres [revised], and the South Kerby Ave. fire burned 1/2 acre.
